(Invited)
Faced with a changing ocean and atmosphere, on a wide range of time and space scales, and impacting physical, biogeochemical, ecological and social systems, how best to detect and measure climate variations? It is safe to say we under-sample the coupled system and need to be creative in how we approach assessing variability, how we allocate resources, and how we inform others of our findings. Some thoughts on how best to proceed will be discussed.
