2021 AMS Town Hall on Data Commercialization

Join us for our Town Hall at the AMS101 Meeting on "Articulating Climate and Weather Research and Educational Needs to Inform Commercialization of Atmospheric and Oceanic Data." The Town Hall is scheduled for Monday, January 11 at 3:30-4:30pm EST. The conveners - Yolande Serra, Aneesh Subramanian, Carol Anne Clayson, and Mike Patterson - will share lessons learned from recent efforts and present a draft set of guiding principles for meeting the data needs of the climate and weather science and academic communities. Participants are invited to give feedback and inputs to inform a community white paper on science and educational needs to be considered for future data commercialization efforts.

The draft white paper will be posted online for community comment in early January and the final document will be published in March 2021. Please participate in the Town Hall and consider contributing inputs to the draft document, coming soon.
