Nonlinear multiscale complex systems are ubiquitous in nature and are notoriously challenging to simulate on classical computers due to the curse of dimensionality. Quantum computers promise a computational advantage for certain classes of problems. It is natural to ask whether a quantum advantage can be harnessed to simulate nonlinear multiscale complex systems. I will present potential quantum advantages for simulating turbulence and subcellular multiscale reaction-diffusion systems within a theoretical algorithmic framework.
