Variations, Spring 2019: Stratosphere-troposphere coupling across timescales
While US CLIVAR has traditionally focused on ocean-atmosphere coupling and its role on climate variability, in this edition of Variations we examine the coupling between the two lowest layers of the atmosphere, the troposphere and the stratosphere.

Spring 2019 call for US CLIVAR-supported workshops
Requests are now being accepted for US CLIVAR-sponsored workshops for 2019 and beyond. Submissions are encouraged from the US climate science community and their collaborators. All documents must be submitted by April 12. The next call for workshops will be in fall 2019.
TPOS 2020 Second Report
Comments are invited on the draft Tropical Pacific Observing System (TPOS) 2020 Second Report. This Report updates the evolving design of the backbone observing system, responding to feedback on the First Report, new research and evidence, and gaps identified by sponsors. Download the report and review template at the link below and submit the completed template to to info@tpos2020.org by the February 28.
